Fees and Quotations
"Please contact me if I can help you, your angling club or your organisation
in any way.
All quotes are free of obligation; I never try to persuade you
to engage me. In the final analysis, I only want to carry out work if
you feel it would be useful.
Incidentally, almost all of my 1,400+ assignments have come through
personal, word-of-mouth recommendation."
Bruno Broughton
A typical assignment involves:
- a detailed site visit and inspection – to collect information
and data
- the preparation of a comprehensive fisheries report
- step-by-step advice on virtually every topic
- a management plan for each fishery

Usually, a report is at least 20-25 pages long although more detailed
documentation may be required for more lengthy or broadly-based assignments.
In addition the client will be helped through the advice at no extra charge.
My fees are modest and based on how much time I devote to any
work. It is not possible to publish a schedule of charges because, clearly,
no two assignments are the same. For example, my fees to advise a small
club on the control of water plants in a half-acre lake would be considerably
less than those applying to the owner of the adjoining land who might
want advice on the creation, development and management of a large complex
of commercial fisheries.
I usually operate on a ‘fixed fee’ basis. Very large
assignments or legal work is charged on an hourly or daily rate. All written
quotes are honoured. There are usually no extra fees for incidental expenses
or VAT. Water analyses, herbicides and other significant items of expenditure
are recharged at cost.
